Support the Hidden Forest

The Hidden Forest Nursery is a wonderful community treasure located in Sebastopol, California. This breathtaking forest hosts many beautiful trees and plants in an exquisite garden setting. The Hidden Forest invites visitors to connect deeply with nature, whether  through quiet observation or by wandering down miles of trails or participating in educational workshops about plants and ecology. Many unique species are being stewarded here, from beloved California natives to world-class Rhododendrons, to extremely rare trees, such as our Dawn Redwoods.
The Hidden Forest needs your support. This expansive 7-acre forest and its botanical inhabitants cannot survive on revenue from nursery sales alone. We are ready to make improvements to the site to realize its sustainable potential as an important botanical reserve and educational resource. We plan to hire a septic engineer to accommodate a new public restroom (necessary for hosting future events and classes), to maintain trails, trees and infrastructure, and to pay a permitting consultant to continue our journey towards ensuring this forest stays a community resource forever.

Here is the breakdown of some of our needs heading into the new year:
$2,500 urgent tree work
$2,500 infrastructure maintenance
$2,500 permitting consultations
$4,000 septic engineering
